Bring back the Polling Area!

Hey Scott...

Can you please bring back the good ol' Polling Area where you can post polls on any topic? The DBS Polling Area never has anything new since there's only a limited amount of stuff on DBS that you can start a poll on. I remember that there were problems with the old polling area, but I think it should at get a second chance. Make it so that only registered users can post.

Are just a few of the topics that I remember off the top of my head that caused the general polling policy to go away. You really want that back?

Yup, I remember those crazy polls. I'm still scarred for life. :D

I understand what you guys are saying, but from what I recall, all those stupid polls came from one person, so why should everyone else have to be deprived of the ability to set up a poll by themselves? I don't have a problem with having an admin setting up polls for me, but I believe that the "rebirth" of the polling area would spark some interesting...and possibly INTELLIGENT...polls from members who didn't know that they can set up polls through an admin. If you want, I'll be glad to moderate the Polling Forum so that you guys (the admins) don't have to be bothered with editing/deleting mindless polls. If you don't like the way it turns out, then remove the forum again, this time for good.

Just a little suggestion. :)

One, I made it very clear I don't have time to post here anymore (I've only stopped back to say hi to one people, a certain board admin, by PM). So don't worry what I'd do.

Two, I'd like to remind Mark that many of my polls had DIRECTLY to do with topics in a Potpourri thread. The rest weren't exactly inappropriate, as many were directly things I saw from polls on other sites such as React! (now gone, a news magazine for teens).

Anyways, that's all :)
