Should I be getting ESPN Deportes with my Choice Extra package? It would be nice to just have an extra sports channel around for some sports not found on ESPN.

On a Spanish related note, on my H21-100 the Spanish XM channels seem to be blacked out but they come in the clear on my D12-100 box. The other way around I seem to get Ch 616 (FSN E) on my H21 but NOT on the D-12 box (Ch 616 isnt even in my guide - no I dont use favorites at all)

ESPN Deportes is not part of the Choice Extra package.

Is it even possible to get ESPND with an English-language base package? I know FSE is in the Sports Pack -- and that's helpful -- but I'm jonesing for some real Mexican League beisbol action, not to mention all the Winter League coverage this, um, winter, that FSE just doesn't have.

No.
You must have the "En Espanol" addon For ESPN Deportes.

Is there an actual add-on package like E* offers? I've looked for it since I switched last fall but can only find the four Spanish-language base packages (and I'd never hear the end of it at home if I switched to a Spanish package and lost LMN, not to mention my own pain at losing FBN).

This is, IMHO, one of the things DirecTV could do differently. I don't really speak Spanish, nor do I have the desire to, but I know enough to follow sports. ESPND should be in the Sports Pack.
