Microsoft's AutoUpdate team has re-released the XP SP3 and Vista SP1 service packs thru the auto update feature with a filter in place that will keep PC's running Microsoft's Dynamics RMS software from receiving the updates.
Microsoft already has Dynamics RMS clients testing new versions for their use and expects to release them within the month. In the meantime, Dynamics RMS clients are advised not to attempt to manually install the service packs.
SP3 seems to still have some quirks in it. Downloaded it to my work PC that uses a dual monitor setup. Once installed, I could not change/rotate the orientation of my monitors. They were stick in landscape mode. Had to uninstall SP3 to get my monitor functions back. Oh well.

Hansen, you didn't give any details but did you check that your video card has the latest drivers? I ran into an issue with video the other day which was resolved by drivers issued in the last couple of weeks. I noticed also that most video drivers were updated in April and this may have had something to do with the pending release of service packs.

Good idea. I'll give that a try. My thought had been the drivers were up to date since I just had to replace that card at work but they're likely out of date.
Thanks
EDIT: Thanks for the tip Larry. Downloaded updated video drivers and that solved the problem with SP3.
