View Full Version : Equipment delivery to billing address rather than service address?g
I need to replace my HR20-100 unit, and would like to have it sent to my billing address rather than my service address. The CSR I spoke to said they only ship to the service address.
Is there any way to get equipment shipped to the billing address? I don't want to temporarily change my service address to my billing address for the shipment because I am eligible for DNS at my service address, and I'm concerned I will lose them and not get them back.

if you change your address i doubt it that you will lose them. maybe someone else knows more of this.
Your DNS is good for the service address for which it was approved. If you change your service address, I believe you must requalify for DNS at the new address--even if that is just across the street or on the next block. If you are a grandfathered DNS subscriber, any move of the service address will likely result in a loss of your DNS.

I have had many things from DirecTV shipped to my 'business' address ('The UPS Store' mailbox, which is my 'billing' address) many many times. If the CSR can't figure out how to do it, get their supervisor on the line.

I've had equipment shipped to me at my office (which is not an address listed on my account), rather than my house. I just told the CSR that I would rather have the receiver shipped to an address where someone would be available to sign for it, rather than allowing the driver to leave it on my front porch.
They modified the ship-to address with no hesitation.

It does depend on how far your shipping address is from the service address though. If you are asking them to send you equipment in alabama while your service address is in New York I believe they will smell something fishy.
