idea for "info bar"

I think Dish oughta add two more things to the "info" bar that appears when you change channels:

 

one...the station logo

two ... the bird that it's coming from

I don't get it, you know what channel you are on and most stations have the obnoxious "bug", why on Earth do you want a Logo? Just curious.

Actually , this would be better if it were in the guide like on DirecTV..DISH uses some strange abbreviations for channels and I'd like to know what channel it is.

You're right, they do have some pretty cryptic names. Maybe they should think about going to 8 letters for the channel names. Better yet, enable "Long Name Space" (inside Windows network joke).

How about choosing your own channel abreviations? Having *1, *2, *3, etc. be chosen for your favorite channels just like the old tv's had favorite channels a, b, c, etc.
