I live in a MDU that is going to get upgraded within a couple weeks to a new MFH2 SWM. We currently have a 3LNB SWM system that has the OTA on the same feed that unit owners can diplex out OTA. Can a MFH-2 5LNB system handle OTA the same way? (Trying to determine if I should be proactive and order a AM21 for my HR21...)

Thanks!

A SWM setup can have OTA diplexed on it. I can't say for sure that it will be that way but it does allow for it.

Don't order until you are sure OTA will be supported. Once MFH2 is installed in some larger properties OTA may go away depending on the system and the property.

Many properties will as that is one of the many benefits of the new MFH2 system. Other that wttw (channel 11) I believe that all other High Definition, primary market locals are available via MFH2. That does not of course include locals from Gary or secondary markets. WTTWHD in Chicago is expected however sometime in 2008 via DirecTV.

What about WCIU-HD? 26-1

You are correct. Not normally considered a major local network however in Chicago it certaintly is with the Bulls and Sox playing a quarter of their games on their.

There has been no word on this channel being picked up by DirecTV. From what I have heard it is not so much DirecTV not willing to add it as the parent company of WCIU not coming to an agreement with DirecTV. In time I am sure this will be available.
