Does Solid Signal or anyone else have 2" pipe fpr sale? For that matter, why the heck doesn't DirecTV sell the stuff, since their dish requires it.
Anyone??

You can purchase 2" OD straight exhaust pipe at NAPA stores. Specify "heavy duty" as they do have two grades. It is very strong and exactly 2" OD, works perfectly. Some stores will cut it and sell it by the foot, others may only sell it in the 10 foot length of manufacture.

Metal fence posts used for chainlink fence are also very close to 2" OD.

They don't sell 2" pipe because they don't sell every single option under the sun to mount the dish. Even if DIRECTV sold 2" pipe it would probably be 4X the price it is anywhere else.

I haven't seen it in person, but the relevant NAPA part number appears to be EXH49016. Note that they have various O.D.s available, and in different gauges. This one is 16 Gauge:

We use 1-1/4 nominal pipe or 1-5/8 fence tubing and adapt it up to an exact two inches with an adapter that my fellow subcontractor installer manufacturers.
1-7/8" tubing does not always work, and sometimes yoy can run the clamp bolts all the way down with the mount still being loose.
My fellow subcontractor sell the adapter inexpensively on eBay;

From all of the feedbacks that he has gotton on the adapter; it works absolutely great.
We have done over 300 installs and found absolutely no problems. Using it couldn't be easier.

What's the best source for the 18" dish pole?I just bought the NAPA part above, roughly $26 including tax in NC. They have to get it delivered from the warehouse, but it will be here the day after I ordered it (e.g. - tomorrow morning). This is the 2" size for the five LNB Slimline.
