I've had an old RCA receiver in one of my rooms which had a 75ohm cable connector on the back to run a remote tv. I just recently switched to an HR20 I had laying around and it doesn't appear that I can use the 75 ohm cable that I ran up through the attic and down into another room to run the remote tv. Does anyone know of a way I can run my removte tv off the HR20? I dread thoughts of crawling through the attic again. Thanks for taking the time to read this. (The only possible connectors I see on the back of the HR20 is an HDMI and an S video out.)

run the composite connections into an RF Modulator, then connect your coax into rf modulator.

bottom row of connectors (rca style) can be connected to inputs of a vcr then tied to rca out of vcr. if you have vcr laying around this has worked for me in the past.

yep, one or those cheap dvd convertors (rf modulator) from a local store will do the trick..

The only way I can think of is if you can find a way to convert the S-Video & R/L audio or composite video to coax(RF modulator I think...it's been a while).
Otherwise, you're going to have to run something else.

Here is what the RF modulators look like. You can find them almost anywhere (walmart/target/radioshack/bb/cc/etc) for around $20.

That's a pretty good one....seen it used at a friends house - it works fine.

Also worth saying that if you have an old VCR in the closet it will do much the same thing.

Good point Stuart - I have a couple of the old boat anchors in storage some place that could fit that bill (if I needed it). :D

Sorry I missed this thread earlier. I have a set-up like that, with a Philips RF modulator I bought at WalMart on my HR20-100 in my "computer" room. I actually feed two TVs in two adjoining rooms simply by splitting the RF output and sending it to each TV (one also goes through the "Off Air In" connector on a D10-300.)

This type of setup is one reason why the HR2x's are better than the HR10's.
On the HR10's the composite were only active when the video output was set at 480i. Therefore, in order to use those outputs, you had to cycle through the various video settings to get to 480i, and when you wanted to use the HR10 again in HD, you had to cycle back.
I was able to solve this with a quick macro on on an MX350 remote, but w/ the HR2x, this is not necessary.
