Set up was a piece of cake and my reception has increased significantly. My only issue is that when entering OTA channel into remote or choosing an OTA station from the guide, it takes between 30 and 40 seconds for the channel to tune in. The screen is gray for that time. BTW, "Native" is set to off. D* stations come in instantly when selected.

Anybody else experiencing this?

I noticed that the HR21 was slower than i would ahve expected with the latest national release. Fixes are in the works. Last night CE updates is much quicker.

I had this problem at first also until I unplugged the HR21-700 and waited about 10 minutes before plugging it back in, then after it went through all the initial start up routine the channels now take about 5 to 6 seconds to change. Not perfect but a lot better than before.

Anybody else experiencing this?If nothing is recording, my channel changes are seamless between OTA and SAT. If there is even one OTA HD recording going on, channel changes become noticeably slower across the board, but to the tune of several seconds--nowhere near 30-40 seconds, but long enough to make me think it missed the command about half the time. If I play back an HD recording at this time, I have to begin pausing for about 2 seconds between remote control commands. With 2 OTA HD recordings going on, playing back any recording is an exercise in frustration...responsiveness goes out he window--it can go out to lunch for several minutes...:nono:

Just for the record, this issue is present when nothing is recording. Also noticed that if I am switching between two OTA channels using the "previous channel" button, there is very little delay. BTW, the 30-40 seconds is not embellished. I have clocked the channel changes and most are between 30-35 seconds with some going upwards of 40.

I'm going to unplug tonight and see what happens.

I unplugged for only a moment and OTA channels seem to tune in a few seconds now. Back and forth between SAT and OTA and OTA to OTA are all about the same. Much improved. Thanks JHS.

No problem. I'm glad that it worked.

Still working better. 4-5 seconds to tune OTA. I can live with it.
