Can someone look at my signal strengths and let me know if I need a dish realignment. I have been having problems with pixelization/blank screen/frozen picture on the mpeg4 HD channels. I had an installer here a couple of weeks to look at my alignment. He checked my signal strength and said there are too many 0's on the 103 satellites. He said he has to replace the multiswitch. He replaced it and said if I was still having problems to call back. Well a couple of weeks have gone by and it still happens occasionally. I always have problems when it is raining, sometimes when cloudy. But today was sunny, not a single cloud, and it happened. There are also no obstacles in the way. By the way it is happening on all of my receivers. I have 3 HR20-700's.

My signal strengths are:
101
1-8 89 86 88 96 87 96 86 95
9-16 88 89 90 98 91 96 91 97
17-24 91 100 91 94 89 96 89 96
25-32 88 95 88 0 92 96 87 97

110
1-8 na na na na na na na 96
9-16 na 92 na 95 na na na na

119
17-24 na na na na na 97 0 96
25-32 88 97 97 96 94 98 0 98

99(s)
1-8 93 0 95 0 79 0 na na (are every other supposed to be 0?)

103(s)
1-8 0 0 0 0 0 0 na na (are these supposed to be all 0?)
9-16 na na na na na na 85 79
17-24 73 80 80 82 0 0 79 95 (are these too low?)

103(c)
1-8 79 69 76 73 79 73 76 76 (are these too low?)
9-16 76 74 74 77 76 74 na na
17-24 74 na na na na 75 na na

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes you need to have a dish realignment. All of your signals on SAT 101 should be in the 90's and 103c should be in the high 80's to 90's.

The 0s on 99s and 103s are normal. Your other numbers are a little lower than they could be, but not so low that I would immediately expect that to be the cause of your problems. I've seen installs with worse signal strength that did not display the issues you're complaining about.
