I am starting to give up hope regarding this ongoing dispute between Dish & Yes Network...

Last night I emailed executivecustomerservice@echostar.com
regarding this issue. Would you know I got a call around 1130 am
Sunday morning 3-2-03 from Suzie Cameron (she works with the Executive VP Team) and she was very plesant and polite and clearly explained to me that the Yes Network MAY Not be available this upcoming season. She explained to me that Yes gave DIRECTV a "fair and resonable price" to offer it to their subscribers. I said why couldn't Yes offer the same deal to Dish??

She said if Yes was available that Dish would love to carry the channel at $5 additional per subscriber.. I said WHAT $5 MORE?!
Why the astronomical prices that Disney charges for all the Espn channels as well as NESN or now TNT! I said I just cancelled my dad's Dish subscription (3 yrs.) to Directv, installed the phase 3 dish with the HDRV 2 (nice looking unit I must say) so now he can watch the Yankees & NJ Nets (and soon to come NJ Devils in 2006). I told her I am patient and will wait to see what happens by opening day which is almost a month away.

For those who wish to have this issue solved....please contact her Suzie Cameron

She is very pleasant and nice to talk to....Tell her besides the Yes Network any other issues that may be of importance. I sent her an e-mail around 1140 pm Saturday night and within 12 hours I received her call and was on the phone for almost 45 minutes.
I did also voiced my opinion on the remaining locals for Nyc (wing slot 61.5) and why are they not on the main core slot. She explained they have no room. Then why are there spot beam coverage?? Can someone please answer that. Is there enough space to put the remaining locals via 110 ch. 4 or 6 (NE SPOT) OR 119 CH. 1 OR 3?? I give up....Hello DIRECTV....1 Dish for locals..1 dish for Yes Network...HDVR 2 with no problems...Hmmm...looking more interesting with each coming day.

Direct TV has a more powerful satellite and will launch another at the end of the year giving them far more spot capacity than Dish has.
