Satellite TV is obviously a very lucrative business for, at least, one high profile CEO. Mr Ergen is listed as #45 in a list of the worlds' billionaires.

Of course he's got a way to go to catch Bill Gates, among others.

Yes, Charlie is very well off. He also was Al Gore's single largest personal contributor in the 2000 election. Makes you wonder, if he'd backed GW would the FCC have come down on the merger the way they did...

If he just donated the .9 Billion to the Dish Network subscribers, that could pay for the last 2 $3 increases for like 40 years.
