Free preview weekend recordings

I recorded a handful of movies on StrarzHD last month during their free preview weekend. I finally got around to watching one of them this weekend. About half way through, it stopped playing with the message "Searching for authorized content.":confused: I called DirecTV about it and was informed that since I no longer have Starz, the recording was not authorized.:mad: I had heard PPV movies would expire after a certain time limit, but this was not PPV. Can anyone confirm or elaborate on this policy?

what happened is the recoding crossed the free / not free timeline. I had a few like this, the recording started during the preview times and when it hit the shutoff time it kept recording but did not allow viewing from that point. I had 3 like that last time they did it.

Yeah I've had the same thing happen to me.

To the OP: I've recorded free preview movies and not watched them until months later with no issue.

I too have had no problems watching them later, you just can't record past 12:00 a.m. Mon. morning because that is after the preview ends.

I think this might be what happened. I remember the recording was overnight and must have crossed the 12:00 midnight timeframe. :(
