View Full Version : Replacement DVR won't play FreeAgent shows

Received my replacement DVR (replaced because of noisy fan). Hooked up my Freeagent and when I attempt to watch my stored Freeagent shows, all I get is "searching for authorized content."

Unfortuantely, like an idiot, I already sent back the original DVR. I would have burned those shows to DVD if I had known I would lose them.

In fact, are the FreeAgent shows now lost to me? (I can record to the FreeAgentwith the new, replacement DVR, but I can't see the ones I had already stored from the first DVR.)

Thank you, in advance, for your response.

Marcia

Welcome to DBSTalk

Any programs recorded to an eSATA drive is married to the unit it is connected to and record from.

If you replace the unit the the series links still work but your recordings will need to be deleted, sorry.

It would be forbidden if you could even do it. Pretty sure you cannot even do it.
