I hope it comes with largest Dobly Digital Blue LED of any Sony product. :D
Ooooh, it records up to TWELVE hours of sdtv at crappy quality! I'm throwing away both my TiVos and ReplayTVs right now, just in anticipation!
I've yet to figure out why people think recordable DVD is a PVR killer. It's a step back towards VCRs. I don't want to have to swap discs. I just want a huge hard drive.
I'll take a DVD-R, especially the 'blu-ray' DVDs IN ADDITION to hard drive based PVR functions.
This Sony unit might be a killer DVD but its nowhere near a PVR killer. It doesn't even have component input, unless that's somehow going to go through the i-Link. And two hours of HDTV recording ain't gonna cut it at my house.

I beleive their is a market for both PVR's and recordable DVD's. PVR's are best suited to watch once or twice and then erase time shifting, recordable DVD's will replace VCR's as the means of choice for archiving.
