I am using 6x8 switch and all 8 ports are being used. If I were to add a standard receiver I would have to go through tiresome and complicated procedure of adding another 6x8 with 4 two-way splitters and a bunch of extra unnecessary cabling. I figure instead of going through all this trouble I just expand two ports that are being used by standard receivers (or a TIVO) into 4 ports simply by adding a 3x4. Any ideas? I dont see why it wouldnt work.
