The title says it all. I would like to know if it is possible to diplex cable modem and DTV on a single coax. My guess is no, but I will let you guys tell me :).
yes you can with a SWM8. there are tons of threads here on the swm8.

It depends on the setup. I've seen it done with no problems. Have heard of others having problems. You can't do it on an HD receiver(without SWM) unless you move the BBC to before the diplexer.

If you diplex cable and SWM DirecTV, you need to use a special diplexer that passes the 2.3MHz SWM upstream signal on the "satellite" port.
To diplex Ka/Ku stacked DirecTV with cable, which you can do by moving the BBC between the dish and the insertion diplexer, you need to pick a diplexer that passes the modem's upstream signal on its "TV" path. Sometimes, the upstream signals are as low as 10 MHz, but a lot of diplexers are only speced to pass 40-860 MHz on the TV path.
