LOCALS on 118.7

Hi. Are the locals on 118 going to stay there any longer or do you think they will be moving soon to 61.5 to a spotbeam location?

Soon is relative ... but I would not expect the HD locals on 118° to stay there.

Given the way they are going, I feel the same... but I do plan on strongly "expecting" them to do a Dish repoint for free since I had to pay for my 118.7 upgrade last year. I had been pointing to 61.5 but was moved to 129 and then added 118.7 for locals... so if they move (as in gone from 118.7) them to 61.5 in my area, I'll expect a free upgrade this time since they are the ones who took me away from 61.5 in the first place.

Yeah, I know... At least I'm going to hold on pressing the panic button until it comes to pass, and hope they come through for those of us in this configuration situation. I also wondered, if/when it came to pass... would they take away the 118.7 and put back a Dish500 (non+ dish) like I had before... or just leave it alone. I don't subscribe to any of the international programming, so unless they stick something else up there, I wouldn't need 118.7 anymore.

I suppose the whole rumored "eastern arc" thing could be a whole 'nother deal down the road too... so I'll just keep fat and happy as long as I have tv to watch.
