It's probably been asked before, but I searched and couldn't find results.

Will the H21/HR21 pass component and HDMI simultaneously so I could send the same picture to (2) TV's at the same time.

You can send both component and HDMI at the same time to different TVs. Both of the digital audio jacks (coax and toslink) also put out signal at the same time (in addition to the standard analog/stereo RCA jacks).

sacalait, as posted above both will output at the same time.

But a little more info for you. All A/V outputs will output at the same time even if you are watching something in HD and want to use S-Video or composite. The picture will down-convert to 480i when leaving the S-Video or composite output and will still display HD (1080i or 720p) on the TV using HDMI or component.

For now, yes.

Be aware that, long term, there is a good chance that the content providers will require ALL HD source equipment to down-rez non HDCP-compliant connections to 480p. DirecTV (and Dish and Comcast, etc.) receivers are already designed to be able to do this.
