What's your thoughts on season 2 so far??

It seems to get better and better each week. Last week Vic got taken down a notch or two to keep him in check. Tonights co-pilot episode looks very interesting.

I like the show.

I liked the twist with the Mexican drug dealer being taken out in the cage. Usually Vic is the "brains" which gets them out of hot water, but it was interesting watching his crew bail him out when he had already surrendered in spirit to taing the heat.

They have been wasting the civilian auditors character, but I liked the uneasy alliance that Vic and the Lieutenant had at the beginning of the season, You could see the distate the Lieutenant had as he sold his soul to protect his political future.

Having CCH Pounder's character shame him into doing a 180 was fun.

This is weird though.... Like the Sopranos, I find myself wishing the bad guys (Vic and his crew) to get away with their crimes. I think my old days in high school playing Dungeons and Dragons (I know, I'm a geek, so sue me) had a label for this type of character: "Chaotic good". He was a good guy normally, but broke any good guy rules he felt were "inconvenient".

He'll give "moralists" fits, but it IS fun to watch.

I didn't see the first season but after Chiklis started winning Emmys and Golden Globes I tuned in for this season and have to say that its the best crime drama on TV. I like it even more than HBO's The Wire...which is saying something because I think The Wire is very good. Chiklis is good but he has a great supporting cast including CCH Pounder and Walton Goggins. One of the things I like about this show is you never know what's going to happen. Characters that you think are going to be on for the long haul often end up getting whacked. Its fast paced and tightly scripted but you have to wonder how long the writers can keep up this kind of intensity. For now though I PVR it every week :).

It's certainly my favorite "cop show" except maybe for The Wire.

Last night's episode was a terrific "prequel" showing how everything came together at the "barn" (on the "farm.")

Did anybody notice how Vic's wife said she was going to be OK with all the OT & time away from the family because of the extra money?

Yea I noticed that that about Corrine. That made me laugh a little.

I'm wondering if last nights episode was really filmed before the first show that was aired on FX. But I can't wait for the show to get back to the story lines. Next weeks show looks awesome. This is really the only show I "plan" to watch every week anymore with school and work..

I think it was A&E that had a show on how they made the Shield this past weekend.
I tried to trac it down to see if it's on again -Because something happens in the next 2 shows that shouldn't surprise you.
