Starting 2 days ago, I cannot get channels 73, 75, 76, and 78. Channels 72,74, and 79 are fine, however... This is a 5LNB, old sidecar version, HR20, and H20s, (all units show same problem). I have a WB68 in the attic, along with a Sonora locker. Where do I start looking with this one ?
My 3 110 transponders all show zero.
I e-mailed DirecTV to initiate a service request, and get the BS out of the way. One of my pet peeves is a company that offers tech support via e-mail, but all you get in response is an e-mail telling you to call in. I hate that so much that I tell my technicians here that if I ever catch them doing that they will be fired on the spot. Well, that's all I got out of DirecTV. I sent a scathing reply back, but that sad fact is I will probably have to call this one in.

The same thing happened to me Sun. night. Same dish and receivers. The channels that won't come in are on 110. My signal levels were 0 on all three tpns. A tech @ D* had me go through resets and reauthorizations....no luck. Scheduled a service call for this Sat. ... sounded like the 110 Lnb.
Last night I checked and they all came in again. I don't know whether to let them come out and change to a slimline dish or call back and say they are working now.

I thought I saw something like that in the huge 771 thread, but I wasn't sure, there were so many variations of the problem in that thread. I also just noticed some low 200's (one of the ESPN's) are also out.
Why don't you guys have a close look at the cable and connector between the 110 LNB and the main 99/101/103 assembly. It's a frequent source of this problem, although the 110 LNB could be dead as well.

I did that last night, it didn't seem to make any difference. I hate having to get a new dish, this one is aimed to perfection just about, what are the odds I will get a good tech again.

You can show him your current 103(c) numbers and tell him that's what you expect. Plan to be on hand and possibly lend a hand as well......:)

Yeah, that's what it will boil down to, probably. Oh well - my old dish (bolts) was starting to rust in the salt air, anyway, and if I am careful, I can store it away as a hurricane backup just in case, I can live without 110, especially as stuff migrates off it in the future. Thanks for your help, Stew, too bad you are on the opposite coast. I'll be in Sanibel Island next week, though.

Its weird but yesterday - out of the blue- I started getting the 771 messages on many, many stations. Weather was crystal clear. I also have the sidecar AT-9 and the Zinwell 6x8 switch. I did a restart of the receiver and all was fine.

Yeah, sounds like you had a different problem.
ugh, it took me 20 minutes to work my way through the automated system, then past the front line rep, to get an appt for next week. I hate when I have to call these people.
