DBS Bill Just Went Up $4.36

The State of Utah has decided to charge sales tax on DBS and cable services. In my county (Salt Lake) that is 6.6%, so on a $66 Directv bill, my tax is $4.36.

This is new to me, but I know many of you already pay taxes on your DBS bill, and it really torques me!

Consider yourself lucky. Florida charges a "telecom tax" of 13.5% on satellite. :(
