Buffalo, NY Local Channel ??

I noticed that Dish network is carrying local HD channels including LIN TV station Channel 4 according to Dish's web site. If this is true, how come Directv can't carry the stations signal? It has been a practice of LIN not to have their signals carried by satellite dish companies.

Does anyone know if this is true in other markets that have a LIN owned TV station?
