I do go to some basketball and baseball games.....I do agree that baseball games run so long....maybe too long as you said....Hell.....combine length of time with the cost of a few beers......Damn!! :D
Angels (10-15 games a year), Dodgers (1-2), Chargers (usually the Raiders game every year for the atmosphere especially if it's not on a Sunday so I don't miss the other games), Bruins B-Ball occasionally, fights at the Pond, Kings (1 game a year), Lakers (1-2 games a year), and even the Ducks (3-4 times a year) too.

There is no such thing as a baseball game that is too long!!! I love them. I know some people's definition of hell is a double header that goes into extra innings. But to me that is heaven!
Unfortunately since my current job has me working 3 or 4 evenings a week, I wont be able to catch as many Reds games as I would have liked.
As to other sports: I am a season ticket holder to the mighty Bengals. I try to catch a couple of the minor league Mighty Ducks and the other minor league hockey team in town the Cyclones. I also cover many, many high school sporting events for local cable TV. As a matter of fact, I'm looking forward to lots of OHSAA tournament action in Dayton this Saturday! Go X! Go Winton Woods! (they would meet in the state finals in the unlikely event they both keep winning and they are both in "my" area)
See ya

NHL hockey is my vice. Its a 2 hour drive for me to either Tampa or Miami, so I don't do it too often. However, this month is a busy one for me though; going to the Avs-Lightning tonight, Wild-Lightning on the 17th, and the Sens-Panthers on the 22nd.
Bring on the playoffs, the Leafs are going all the way this year!!!

DC, Thanks for the sympathy. The group I go to the Bengals games with thought long and hard about renewing this year. But as in the last 12 years, we feel that THIS is the year they'll turn it around! :)
As to Ken Griffey, Jr. I think I was the only person in Cincinnati that was vehimently oposed to Ken coming to the Reds. I was viewed as a heretic here. At one point I felt like the guy in "Body Snatchers". People would point to me and make loud screatching noises.
I liked the idea, but then I thought of the practicallities. First, he sucks up a good portion of the salary pool that could be used to get some star pitching. Second, on THREE separate occasions, it has been shown that the Reds play better WITHOUT him in the line-up. And finally, twice, the reds have essentially been forced to trade other great talent from the team in order to have the money to pay Griffey.
Sorry...Not worth it.
See ya

Im surprised the old man who runs the Reds even agreed to the deal....They a year or so later didnt he attempt to nickel and dime Larson?!!! Then again at least you HAVE something resembling a pro team this year instead of the Cleveland Bisons.....:D:
Hey Pez:
Since you're in Philly, try checking out a Wings lacrosse game down at FU Center some time. They're fun and exciting, and they don't cost a whole lot. There are three remaining regualr season games this year: Today (3/8) at 1:00 PM, plus 3/15 and 3/22, both night games.

We people up here in Toronto can't really even buy tickets to see our NHL hockey team. The Toronto Maple Leaf$ tickets for the entire season are practically sold out by September, every year and the prices for the tickets run between $50-$250 a seat. I think these prices are a rip off considering that every game the Leaf$ play is on television.

I usually go to 3 to 4 Indians games a season.
3 to 5 Akron Aero's (Indian's AA Club)
1 to 2 CAVS
1 Browns
1 to 2 BlueJackets
2 to 4 Crunch/Barons games
Never miss my local High School football game (Home and Away)
