View Full Version : Junior couldn't watch...
LONG POND, Pa. - JR Motorsports earned its second Nationwide Series victory and first with upstart Brad Keselowski Saturday night, but team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. missed seeing his driver take the checkered flag.
"I was watching DirecTV on satellite and it went off with 10 laps left," Earnhardt Jr. said before Sunday's race at Pocono Raceway. "I was on the Internet and somebody was telling me (what was going on). They were watching on cable."

I think in the PR/Marketing business they may call this an "ouchie".

Or an "oopsie". That's brutal PR. :nono2:

Mine didn't go off. Watched that last 30 or so laps on ESPN2HD via DirecTV. So it had to be a local issue with his equipment.

I was at the bar and the SD feed went out but the HD feed was fine. Weird just weird.

It would have been better if he said he recorded it and the recording came up blank!
Then maybe we'd get a fix...

I watched the HD - no issues. I was just thinking - someone mentioned SD went out - don't the 'portable' receivers only get the SD channels ?

You would think Dale Earnhardt Jr. could afford HD.

I watched the whole race in HD. It ran to completion.

He probably can;) , but most of the motor homes only have the 18" round dishes, ergo only SD.

Not that I support watching MTV, but if you happen to be flipping through and see Cribs hit the info button and see if it the one on Earnhardt Jr. IIRC, he has at least three HD projectors in his full bar in the basement. One for video gaming the others for TV.

The SD feed went out, but the HD feed stayed on. I saw this at my house between the D11 and the H20. I noticed earlier in the evening that the feeds were way off timebase with each other also, not just the usual delay between them. First I thought it was the programming on the D11 but I could not find any other missing channels.

Nice! I would love that set-up for myself. :D
