Hi,
I just upgraded to a 508 and know that the last Software upgrade for the unit enabled "Slow Motion - Frame by Frame" viewing (this is what I read or heard on Tech Chat). IF this is true the manual I received with my 508 had not been updated to explain HOW to use this feature.

Can someone here PLEASE tell me how to use Slow Motion feature?

PS - Dish.com should have a section that deals with things like this.

Thanks,, Michael:o

First, hit the Pause button. Then the following keys have different functions:

10 second back - Goes several frames back (due to MPEG encoding)
30 second forward - Goes forward one frame at a time
FF - Slo-mo forward
REV - Slo-mo backward.

Hope that helps.

See the 501/508 User Guide Supplement on the EKB for Slo-Mo (http://ekb.dbstalk.com/291#slo) and other features that didn't make it into the printed manual.

You're welcome, and that's why I provided a link. The supplement isn't from Dish, it's compiled from what users have discovered. EKB is the Echostar Knowledge Base (http://ekb.dbstalk.com).

I have - it's COOL! I will really enjoy it whem Me SeaHawks get Red Hot an Rollin' next Fall - then I can really check on how the blocks go, for example, when Shaun Alexander runds the ball - will be FUN!
