Since I have digital cable and no idea what you mean by "yak fests" other than something on Animal Planet, I would say not. Now if you mean talking, we have that only on free preview promotions really and they tend to put those promotions on another channel, usually an analog one way down the dial.

Lately, we've had to deal with Showtime's insane new way of squashing credit space to show behind the scenes clips, and I think it was showtime interviewing Ben Affleck about Daredevil, but that's Showtime's thing and not about cable or DBS.

Usually when Starz has a free preview they put up the 800 number on how to order Starz durring the movie, between the movies you have some used car salesman trying to get you to subscribe.

Its really annoying especially when YOUR ALREADY A SUBSCRIBER.

It's funny as someone who pays for those channels every month, shouldn't my Bill go DOWN a bit when they have these free previews? Why must I pay full price when everyone else can watch for free? :)

Now Scott, if you had D*, you could unsub on Friday, get it free for the weekend, then resub when the free weekend is up. With D*, there are no downgrade fees when you change packages.

Yeah but I am on Dish so they wack me $5 to get rid of crap I don't want.

I have been wanting to cancel Starz die to their stance on HDTV and policy on OAR's for their movies, but have not done so yet because of the downgrade fee and the fact I will only save $3 a month.
