Hi,
My DTV receiver is located in my living room TV. I have been using a Channel Plus modulator (via coax cable) to carry audio/video/control signals to my bedroom TV. This way I can watch recorded and live shows in any of the two rooms as I please. This is a much better setup for me vs. having two receivers because I only have one place where my recorded shows reside.
I would now like to carry the HD signal from my lining room recvr to my bedroom TV... is there a way to do this?
Another thing. I have a CRT TV in my living room, and since the signal comes via UHF signal the image quality through my CRT is not too bad (relatively speaking). I'm afraid that if I upgrade this TV with a current flat panel TV I will get very bad video since these new TV's are not very bad at processing analog UHF signals.
I would very much appreciate your suggestions on how to do this

Is it close enough to run another cable? All outputs are active at the same time, so you could hook up the DVR to the living room TV via HDMI and to the bedroom TV via component.
The only other option involves the use of baluns (http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/advice/2260/ask-the-expert-hdtv-over-cat-5-cables.html) and it can be a bit pricey.

Thanks Earl,
Can you point me in the right direction to learn about baluns?
Component would not be an option since the cable run is a long one.

We all know about the RF modulator solution, since they've been around for years and are a staple of hospital, apartment building and other in-house MATV setups.
But does anyone make an RF modulator with a composite/component/HDMI input that outputs a DIGITAL RF SIGNAL?
I.E. a present RF modulator is essentially a tiny NTSC TV transmitter. Some even have MTS stereo. Does anyone make one that is a tiny ATSC transmitter?

No, there are no consumer-level ATSC modulators, and the commercial ones are extremely expensive.

The most inexpensive single wire solution that I have found is this -

you will need to run a single cat5 cable between the baluns to carry the signal.

The real problem is that now the signal has to be mpeg2 encoded, then modulated. The closest thing that is currently available at the consumer level is the zvbox, but it is designed to output a computer signal on QAM. Its only input is VGA, but it is possibly a sign of things to come.
