I played Solitaire a lot, under XP, it was my way to relax. Vista's Solitaire is making me a nervous wreck . :nono2: The decks are gorgeous, works of art, but the code has gone facist. It keeps statistics. If you want to quit a game before the code thinks it's finished, it counts as a loss. When I know there are no more WINNING moves , it takes two or three stupid plays for the program to agree with me and not count it as a loss. I don't know how to turn that off. I'm going to try to copy the xp version and see if I can run it. :D

Well, if you don't win (move all teh cards up) is that not a loss?

An annoyance with that game that went present since day one .. you win and it asks you if you want to deal again, you say no. Shouldn't the program quit .. no it doesn't and you need shut it down.

Oh, LIfe can be so complicated!

For ten years I've had a little Arthritis in my hands, so I had given up tossing the cards up to the piles. When everything is open on the board, that's a win. I think you should be able to turn off the messages and just play. It's academic now, because sol.exe runs under Vista. :D

Oh, I get it. I just was not thinking about that situation. Some other solitare games have a menu item you can click to automatically move the cards up. I agree having to move them one by one is the pits, even without arthritis.
