The question I have is that I currently receive my locasl in HD from an OTA. So when Dish gets my locasl in HD will I receive them twice, once from Dish and once from OTA. I hope I get both so I could record a HD local program and still be able to watch another HD local show. As it stands now if I'm recording say Fear Itself in HD I can't watch another HD local unless I go to the SD versions that Dish provide
Yes, if and when Dish offers your HD locals they will appear twice in your guide should you subscribe to the local package. Dish locals will be separated from your OTA should you use the mapdown feature with OTA being xxx-01; xxx-02; ect while the Dish would be listed as xxx-00. The Dish locals would actually be in the 5xxx and 6xxx range.

Yes, when Dish adds your locals in HD, you will have your local stations twice, once from Dish, once OTA.
You could then watch one local and record two other channels (locals or not).

Yeah, the great thing about OTA HD is that you can record three HD shows at once... two from DISH and one OTA (at least you can on the 622) This feature is very handy.....
