HD DVR help

I just had my install yesterday had a few questions first not sure the box it is. it was brand new and is black guessing its the 21-100 seems there is no way to watch a hd channel thats not in hd and have it fill all the way to the sides? tried all the options...Does anyone have a pioneer reciever i tried all the codes and could only get power to work and the vol up not down driving me nutz...Its like a yr old so not a old one..Gota say it was Great watching ultimate fighter last night in hd charter can blow me....

You can look behind the little flip door on the front of the unit or hold the info button for 3 seconds to bring up the info screen and that will let you know what model you have.

As for the HD channels, no there is no way to fill the screen on shows that are in 4x3. I actually just flip over to the SD version because I hate the bars.

only way to make an HD chanel thats framed fill the screen is if you have a funtion on your tv.. on mine I have "zoom" that works great for scifi shows that are letterboxed..
