Not to defend D*, because I too was miffed at them, but Jeff's microphone hasn't worked for most of the day......so you aren't missing a whole lot. I also have trackpass and most of what Jeff's said today hasn't been heard. You can only hear Letarte and Jeff's spotter 90% of time. Plus JG's car has been a piece of crap, so the times he has been heard on the microphone, he's been pretty upset. Letarte couldn't hear Jeff either at the beginning of the race, until the first caution when Jeff said the car was a F***** piece of S***. Letarte replied he heard that loud and clear.
Which is one reason why I like trackpass better....they don't see to do as good of a job at censoring.
Though lately Jeff's microphone, like Jeff's car, seems to have gotten better in the last 15-20 laps.

Smoke was incredible today....he got jobbed with 7 laps to go when Harvick got into him...wow. You could see it coming, what were those guys thinking in that turn...back off!! Ugh. Sorry #20 fans, I'd be ticked too.
As for Gordon's audio...I'm checking to see if he got voted in this week, I believe he did but need to verify. If there was an audio problem then they might have pulled it and put another driver up instead.

Neat.
This would have been a great race to listen to the team. What a crazy day so far.

Well, no deed goes unturned. Congrats to #24. Smoke got 10th considering his "bumps".

Yeah, the relief in Letarte's voice after the race that Jeff finished third was palpable.

the real question is why are th 24 and 88 not permanent hotpass drivers? I would pay another 24 bucks for gordon to always be covered.

 unless Hotpass elevates Smoke to the status Jr has, there are many of other unhappy campers such as you, complaining about the same thing. Besides, Jr fans pay the bills for Hotpass. Hotpass doesn't want our extra money to have a driver permanent channel and it really isn't fair to the other owners and drivers not to have a chance at having a dedicated channel during a race.
By the way, Jr IS semi permanent. You can find him on 796 just about every race except the road courses which he doesn't like much. He should after this one.
I don't know if this has been answered in another thread and I should have asked it in February, but why did hotpass cut back from five drivers to four this year? I know they do the "superchannel" but it seems like a step backwards. Why not do the five drivers and as well as add the superchannel for this year?

MONEY, producing HD content is super expensive.

Producing HD content is no different than SD content after the initial outlay of cash for the equipment.

Sorry, I should have added "additional equipment costs". I remember Satelliteracer discussing this in one of the numerous threads on Hotpass. Hopefully he will chime in if my memory is incorrect. Thanxs for catching that.
