View Full Version : Verizon wireless internet ?
I just started using Verizon wireless internet and canceled my DSL as of the end of the month because DSL isn't available at my new address. Once DSL is turned off will I have to get a new e-mail address even though Verizon is the carrier on both and i have a Verizon.net email address?
Thanks.

I suspect that the only way to find out is to call Verizon customer support and ask.

I had Verizon wireless mobile bb account and my email was @verizonwireless.net where as my home DSL email is @verizon.net
But that was sometime ago, I'd call and see if they can keep your email url.

Actually, as I was closing my vz wireless bb acct... IIRC they were changing to @vzw.com. I could be wrong.

I have tried Verizon Wireless Internet on several occasions and never once did they mention an e-mail account but I never kept the service long enough to care.
I was very disappointed with the performance of it and I live in a Major City that they claim they have the fastest speeds to. IT seemed to work the best in New York City and even though I had really good signals the worst was in Las Vegas.
I checked with Verizon DSL and my email accunt will close when the turn my service off. I will check with Verizon wireless to see if they have email accounts.
Thanks.

Why not just sign up for a free webmail account with Yahoo! or Google? Then you don't have to worry about letting all your contacts know about a new address if you happen to change providers again in the future.

Gmail is free and you can configure it to work with Outlook and other POP clients.
