How many rooms?

This may be a stupid question, but here goes. The "standard installation" will run cable to 4 rooms. If I am ordering only 3 receivers, will the "standard installation" run cables only to the rooms where the 3 receivers are, or will it also run cables to a 4th room that I may want to put another receiver in at some future date? TIA

Most of the time it will be just to the rooms that have a box installed. You may find your installer may run that additional line, but don't count on it.

The installer will only run SAT lines to rooms he is installing receivers in.

DirecTV only pays the installer to wire the rooms where the receivers go. Anything beyond that is custom work, payable to the installer. If it wasn't this way, everyone would want 50 lines in their house, and an install would take 2 days. The "free" install includes the bare minimum to get the sat service working.
