Dish 301 Updated to v1.89

Now Dish has added v1.82. This means that if you had 1.81 you get 1.82. 1.88 becomes 1.89. For the life of me I can't figure out why they are running the 301 with two different versions at any one time.

Because, there are 2 different types of model DP301 - one used LSI CPU ( SC2000 ), other STM ( STi5518 ).

Well I inquired and I was bounced around like a basketball. I have contacted 3 people and they all said they don't know whats new and to contact someone else. So I did and got the same replys back with other people to try.

I then emailed the VP of Software Devolopment and have heard nothing back.

One could take this a few ways...

1) The Update is a security update.

2) The update is to prepair for some future upgrade which they dont want to tell us about yet.

3) They are very busy and didnt have time to reply.

4) They want to look like they are working but in reality are just changing version numbers. :D

As soon as I hear something I will report it here.

Ok got an update on 1.89 (yes the Dish Staff works Saturdays!)

Here is the scoop on 1.89The P1.89 release for the 301s is a maintenance release with some
minor bug fixes and software to handle future ITV functionality. The is a new menu item, TV Enhancements, but it doesn't do anything yet.
