Whan Will It Come to a Head?

I'm talking about those who have all Dish legacy equipment, like me. I'm looking at a serious piece of cash when I want to upgrade my next receiver. which will probably be an HD unit.

Am I right thinking Dish won't release another receiver that is not DishPro?

It will still work with legacy LNB's. I have a 501 & a 6000 using the same dish/LNB's. You can't go backward though without an adapter. If I upgraded my LNB's to DishPro, I would need the Legacy adapter for my 6000.

Yes you can use DP receivers with legacy LNBs. My 508 is getting it's signal from a legacy twin, legacy dual and 2 legacy SW21s. The 921 will be DP compatible, as should all future Dish IRDs
