Some HD and not others...

Can someone help make sure I'm on the right page with this. We had a botched install today. The receiver works fine, but they placed the dish behind a tree and left in a hurry without making sure HD worked (I tried to keep them there, but they said they had to leave and that the channels would all work in 20 minutes after activation.) Anywho, long story short -- after talking to tech support, we are having another tech come out in a week and a half to make sure we are getting 110, 119 and 129. The levels on the first two are fine, but 129 is like at 8.

We are currently able to get HGTVHD, FOODHD, ESPNHD, ESPN2HD, TNTHD and UNIVERSALHD.

So these sound like channels we are getting from 110,and thus are missingall of the channels on 129?

You should be getting HD Theater and HDNet from 110°. HGTV, FOOD and Universal are on 129°.

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone then have any idea why I'd be getting HGTV and FOOD in HD, but none of the other 129 HD channels. Could it be that the limited bit of 129 that I am receiving has those feeds, but can't get the others?

could be that the transponders they are on are stronger than the others, and they have enough power to get though the tree. That installer was feeding you a line make sure they don't charge you for a service call. He should have chosen another location for the dish, or installed a wing dish to get all the birds needed for your programing.
