MLB package on Dish

Does anyone know why Dish does not carry the MLB package? DirectTV does, so does our local cable companies around here. With more and more teams starting their own TV networks with exclusive cable rights, this package would make sense for customers all over the country to at least get SOME games from their hometown team.

I do not believe that we will see a MLB package on Dish this season (I think DirecTV holds the mini Dish rights through the end of this season)
