I have the following:
Play Station 3
Toshiba HD 2A
ViP 622
All have HDMI output and I wish to connect all of them to the Sony STR-DG510.
I found a HDMI switcher at Monoprice.com that has at least three inputs, I believe five.
Should this work?

Yes, it will work great.
HERE'S (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011002&p_id=4088&seq=1&format=2) the one you probably want.

So, spartanstew are you one of the 300? Just wondering.

Then I'm going to put it in the budget for August.
I figure I might need one more HDMI cable.
Now I gotta figure a way to get a DSL line from the bedroom/office to the living room.

I also have a switch from monoprice, the 4x1 model. Works perfect, and the price beats most other switches I saw by 1 or 2 times the price.

Go wireless. Get a wireless router (some less than $20) and bridge your network. I bought a Buffalo 4 port bridge. It wireless connects to my home wireless network and has 4 ports. I have my 622 and xbox connected to it and it hasn't caused one issue. In fact, whenever my Comcast (sux) drops and comes back, the bridge flawlessly reconnects every time. I think it was about $59.
i have 2 monoprice switches, they have been flawless
I picked up the 5x1 HDMI switch you're considering from Monoprice last month. Love it and couldn't be happier, Monoprice rocks!!!
I purchased a 3 input switch from Monoprice several months ago touse with my Sony RP LCD TV, Series 3 TiVo and Toshiba HDA2 HD DVD player. Unfortunately, when I used the switch with the HDA2, I'd lose the HDMI handshake. I returned the switch and bought a IOGEAR 2 input automatic HDMI switch, which worked perfectly except that I now would get video dropouts on SD movies. I gave up on using a switch with that TV, conntecting the HD TiVo via component instead. I moved the IOGEAR switch to my bedroom Vizio LCD TV, using it to switch between PS/3 and HD TiVo -- no problems.
I have since gotten a Joytech 3 input switch that I have yet to try. It uses an IR remote.

Got the HDMI switcher today and I got it hooked up.
Now I have one problem.I can go from the ViP622, to the HD-DVD, to the PS3 with great ease now.
But to hear what's going on I have to get up and change the TOSlink cable.
The HDMI switcher will handle the video, but for the audio, I would need an TOSlink cable switcher.
That is if there is such a beast that exsist.
Not that I mind, but I got word on Friday, AFTER I ordered the switcher, my wife is getting laid of as of this Friday.
So, is there an animal like a TOSlink cable switcher?

Wow, that's great, but I need one that I don't have to get up to switch, i.e. one that uses a remote or can be used with the Logitech Harmony One advanced universal remote.
