It seems that XM no longer offers SPECIAL X on DirecTV or online. This was my favorite channel and of course IT'S the one to get removed.:crying_sa This channel was one of the most unique channels offered from anyone anywhere.

Yeah, a few channels went away. More discussion here (http://dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=133182).

why was that thread moved to the xm area....this is really about the xm channels that were on directv so would think it should stay in the directv forum.

As long as Squizz,Ethel or Lucy don't go away im fine with these channels being removed by xm.

The thread was put in the XM area because all XM listeners are affected. If you have DIRECTV-specific comments, I'll leave this thread open for you.

As long as XM doesn't get rid of Liquid Metal, I'll be happy.

First it was Music Lab, now Special X.

I guess I'm just not mainstream enough.

That's me exactly. When I'm not watching any regular TV, I had Special X on. I am so NOT mainstream. I can't stand hit music, today's rock, pop and whatever else that is considered Top 40. There is no talent and it all sounds the same. Special X was my home. It's going to take me some time to get over this. I am seriously in a period of mourning here.:crying_sa
