Actually you can have more than six if you want. But at that point you are considered a "commercial" account. So you will pay more for the account, but not a completely new account, like most people think. This is what the installer told me when he was at my house the other day.

Just to clarify, you can have a maximum of 6 receivers on one residential account.

Yea, a commercial account would work and they have a really nice package for about $34.99/mo which is called Maxview which includes some programming from At150, minus Fox Sports and the music stations.

The only downside is that you cannot get any preminum channels :(

The upside of course is Dish won't telemarket you once a quarter to try to get you to buy more premium channels.

I've had Dish for 3 years and I've never been called asking to add premium channels.

I only have the Top50 program though -- maybe they only bother those that already have at least one Premium channel...

This is true, in the 2+ years with Dish, they have only called once to offer Showtime. This was when the "free 3 months" gift was expiring and wanted to know if I wanted to keep it or have it shut back off. No hassle, it was shut off.
