Anybody know why the fox sports alt channels moved down one slot? (from 446 to 445 etc)

I didn't even realized they moved. This is the second or third time they moved a slot +/-.

Steve,
It's the second time. They went from 450-452 (3) to 446-448(9) and now to 445-448 (there have been 3 alt channels most of the time with an occasional fourth channel. The fourth channel came back about a year ago.)
Why? I have no idea.
See ya

george: they show all the college hockey games that aren't on Fox Sports Detroit here in the Metro Detroit area, I don't know if that's worth anything to you, but it is to me. I still don't get why there aren't more CCHA games on FSD. They don't even start broadcasting their Friday night games until January. They should be showing them from the start of the season every Friday night.

For starters, Sacramento Kings fans. :)
The Sacramento market is served by Fox Sports Bay Area. That means that we get the Bay Area sports teams, however, because of NBA rules, Golden State Warrior games are blacked out.
If you were watching Fox Sports Bay Area channel on a Sacramento area cable system instead of DBS, the cable system would pre-empt whatever was airing on Fox Sports Bay Area with the "Fox Sports" Kings game.
But, since DBS can't substitute programming on the fly, the games get put on a alternate sports channel.
My queston is ..if someone were to live in the middle of nowhere..would they be able to see all these channels without anything being blacked out?

nop, if you're not served by an RSN you'll be blacked out of everything unless you buy the out of market package (NHL CI, NBA LP)
Actually on DISH Network it makes no difference if you buy the NHL CI or NBA LP. They do not use the RSN alternates channels to provide those services.
