Thanks, thats what Ive been hearing as well...guess I will have to wait until next winter to convert my D* equipment to HD.

My sources tell me either Christmas time 2003 or 2004 as well. In addition, I hope they add the following items to the Directv dvr-hd:

1. HMO(Home Media Option)
2. Directv Interactive
3. Dual or even tri picture in picture while watching tv
4. Firewire along w/DVI or HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface) due in 2003-04
5. 330 gb or larger hardrive w/ three tuners
6. 4 composite(2 in 2 out), all w/ s-video; 2 wideband component video
7. DVD Drive that can play and record dvd's
8. High speed Internet Access w/ Direcway or other Service
