Hello Again!

Ok now we're making the big leap from not just upgrading the 811 but now our trusty 655. A friend is buying our Sony XBR crt and so we're getting a LCD. So before calling Dish and request a replacement for the 811 and either a 622 or 722 I need to know about the "Dish" itself.

We have a "DPP Twin" aiming at Sats 119 & 110. Do I need "Dish 1000" or add another Dish with a LNB or what?

Any idea as to cost to upgrade from a 655 to a 622/722?

Thanks again for any help and suggestions.

Add another dish pointed at 61.5° with a DP Dual, run it to the input on the DPP Twin. Nashville HD locals are on 129° which you could get a Dish 1000 for all 3 sats, but since they were recently made available at 61.5° I would think the separate dish is the better long-term solution.

If his locals are on 129, they are not going to install a 61.5 for free if everything can be found with a 1000.2 dish looking at 110, 119, and 129.

This set up would be fine.

Assuming you haven't upgraded within the last 12 months, your upgrade price to a 722 should be $125.

If that is the case, then it becomes a question of whether the left hand has told the right hand, Daryl the webmaster, Daryl in marketing, and George at DNSC.

I live in Charleston SC. Im a new subscriber, and am slated for a Dish 1000.2 for Absolute HD Package and Cinemax.

Should I request a dish pointing at 61.5 for less rain fade or any other reason?
