T-Mobile @ Home and Caller ID etc.

So, I am considering moving to the new T-Mobile VOIP offering for $10/month and ditching my land line. Currently I have three receivers (R-15, HR20, HR21) all connected via my landline for both Caller ID and ordering of PPV movies. I understand that the T-Mobile VOIP solution does not support modem based activity, including fax. Does anyone know if the caller id would still work on the recivers? I suspect this means that PPV would have to be ordered via the web (which is just as easy for me)... however my wife and I love the caller id on the TV screen, so we wouldn't want to give that up. Thoughts?

Caller ID "should" continue to work as normal.

And if your HR20 and HR21 are connected to the internet, you will also should be able to order PPV directly from those receivers still. Alas, the R15 doesn't have that option.

Thanks Tom... that is what I think as well. May have to "test drive" the service to validate the caller id functions... and great point on the networking. My HR20 is networked, the HR21 is not and as you stated, the R15 would be the only one not able to do so. Regards

Caller ID would be projected at the demark, just like vonage. The modem in the receivers listen for the callerID signal; even tho the service itself doesn't support modem data from endpoint to endpoint.
