Showing "new" programs in the Guide

I have an R16-500 DVR and when I use the "info" button on a program in the Guide, will it specify when the program is new? There is a Series Link option to have it only record "First Run Only" programs but I don't see it listed in the Guide Info. Just wondering. Thanks!

Depending on the program, it should give you a First Aired date. If that date matches the current date, then it's a First Run.

Not all programs will show this, however (Sportscenter, for example doesn't), because some programs have generic guide data.

Yes, the HR20-700 shows First Aired Date, but the H20-100 does not.

Along the same lines(at least about meager guide data), I wish they would list if a program is blacked out in your area as well. I miss that part of Dish, they did show a symbol in the guide when it was going to be blacked out.
