Mystery Problem!

I have been trying to figure this out for a month, I have the Premier Package, HD Access, Networks East/West, The CW and the $4.99 HD Only package. Oridginally when I installed my dish and 4 recievers I used a Zinwell 6 by 16 multi-switch, when I started everything up I was missing my even transponders for 103(B) as well as one transponder for both 110 and 119. So I took out the 6 by 16 multi-switch and found that I did not even need it in the first place! So I hooked each of the four lines from my Slimline 5-lnb into each receiver and proceeded to check the sirnal strentghs again, this time all of my transponders worked and I had signal strentghs in the 80's on most of the transponders. So I proceeded to check each one of my HD channels and for some reason the hd channels between cnn HD to cnbc HD were showing "Channel not purchased" so I called to have them send the package out again but nothing changed. I was looking on this website and found that I should have Ch. 498 and it should say congrats on getting hd but I don't even have Ch. 498 but I do have 480-481 and they say hd successfully installed. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you have the BBCs installed in back of your receivers? Also what about test channels 482, 483, 490, 491, 492, 493, & 494. I have all these test channels and they all work. Are your receivers seeing all satellites: 99, 101, 110, 119, 103?

What receivers do you have?

By the way, there is no channel 498 anymore.

I have all those channels and they all show bbc's working, I have all 5 sat's tuned in with 80's and higher except for 99(b) but that shouldn't affect 103(b) and all my bbcs are on correctly. I have the same problem on all 4 recievers. I don't get the following channels in hd: cnn,a&e,animal planet,bio,bravo,cartoon,cmt,cnbc,discovery,disney ,espnews,foodtv,fbn,fx,The History Channel,sci-fi,spike,tbs,The Tennis Channel,Toon Disney,USA,Vh1,Weather Channel,MTV,Nickalodeon,TLC,NGC,HGTV,Food,NHL

I have 4 H-21-200 and I have roughly 63 HD Channels.

These are the current test channels:

480 - 103 B-Band Odd
481 - 103 B-Band Even
482 - 99 B-Band Odd
483 - 99 B-Band Even
490 - 011 Odd
491 - 101 Even
492 - 119 Odd
493 - 119 Even

I don't think there are any test channels for 99 and 103 A-Band.

You shouldn't be getting DirecTV at all in Canada.

Odds are he's using a false address with DirecTV and they don't know.

He can't be using his Nova Scotia address, that's for sure.

Are you using a custom channels list and are those channels included/checked/turned on in your list?

Before Sep 28, 2007:

It was the test channel for the B-Band Converter.Starting Sep 28, 2007:

480 and 481 are the test channels for all HD components from the B-Band frequency.
498 displays OSD Channel Not Available. This is normal.

Yes I can see all the hd channels, its just about 32 of them say channel not purchased and the rest is fine!

Since you are getting some of the HD channels, it sounds like there is an authorization problem with your account. I suspect that only Directv can resolve it, but it will probably need to be escalated to a higher-tier CSR.
