For the last two days all the SD channels and all SD DVR recordings are playing back like a slide show. The sound is working just fine, but video really is bad, maybe a framerate of 2-3. This is also occurring with recordings made long ago and worked previously. Any ideas?

First step is to do a hard reset. Pull the plug.. Wait 30 seconds.. plug the power back in. If it is still there, we need more info as to what your receiver is to see if there is a correlation with other users.

Yep, sounds like a reset is in order. The key phrase there is "old recordings are doing the same thing". That usually means that the receiver has "flipped out" for lack of a better term and it just needs a hard reboot. Now if new stuff was just doing that and old stuff wasn't, then that's a more serious problem. One that I don't know what you could do, short of getting a receiver replacement.

First of all what model DVR has this problem? I had that problem with a 921. They are replacing them with 622's currently because:
a.) THe TiVO judgement names that model as infringing
b.) It's obsolete MPEG2 only, and E* just pulled the plug onthe last of the MPEG2 HD feeds Aug. 1st.
