Today marks another milestone for DBSTalk.COM! Hard to believe a year has gone by since we have moved from our old EZ Board to our new state of the art servers! We have grown a lot in the past year and we have all our members to thank for it!

Today DBSTalk.COM grows again!

Thanks to the suggestions of our members we are proud to announce the addition of two new forums!

DirecTV PVR Forum – A place for DirecTV users to discuss DirecTV PVR Equipment including DirecTIVO, Ultimate TV and other upcoming DirecTV PVR’s

The Non DBS Satellite Area – A place to discuss non DBS satellite technologies and equipment, including C-Band, KU Band and FTA receivers!

Because of the War in Iraq we have also added a special forum for our members to discuss to War on Iraq. We encourage all our members to share their thoughts on this conflict in this area. We hope you will all join together with us in supporting our troops in this matter.

Also recently we have given our sister site http://www.SatRadioTalk.COM a major upgrade, with a new look new forums and the same great chat you have come to expect from your friends at DBSTalk.COM!

DBSTalk.COM also has introduced a new easier to remember name, that being SatelliteTalk.COM! While we will always be known as DBSTalk.COM we are growing to be you place for all things satellite! The new SatelliteTalk.COM name identifies us as being all things satellite! No matter which url you use you will still be taken to the same great place!

Thanks to the generous support of our members we are planning a major upgrade of our server technology and will also be upgrading our forum software to the new 3.0 version when it becomes available. We hope this upgrade will be complete within the next few months. Again our thanks go out to our members who have donated to us to make this all possible!

As always we open to suggestions from you! We would not have been able to build DBSTalk.COM to what it is today without your much valued input! We truly listen to our members suggestions, thank you for making us “The Internet’s Satellite Information Source”

Best Regards,

So, Chris, is it safe to assume that since this site is now the home of all things satellite, that we're going to see discussions about C-Band as well?

Great news Chris! Congratulations on the expansion and rebranding (dual branding). I don't know how you guys find the time. BobaBird and I I have a hard enough time keeping up with just the EKB! :D

See ya
Tony

I think these are all nice additions to the site and can only help. Since satellite is a hobby for most that come on here as well as a source of entertainment that it is important to not leave out C-Band (BUD), FTA, and other things in which all have to do with satellite.

We have indeed put up a new Non DBS Satellite area to talk about things like C-Band, Ku Band, FTA receivers etc. :)

Now hopefully people will use it. :D

Hopefully the word will spread to let people know that we are not just DBSTalk, we are SatelliteTalk. :)

Hope everyone enjoys the additions!

I'm glad I found this place. I get faster and probably more accurate answers here, than from emailing Dish. Could I get a snail mail addy to send in a donation?

I think a lot of the new talk has been on the war lately, as it seems half of the discussions has been about that.

I wonder why that is, Jacob? Could it be that there is a WAR going on????

I think the war is one of the biggest things on peoples minds at the moment.

I am happy that we were able to open the war forum as a place for people to share their war thoughts, and while not everyone agrees with each others feelings on the war, it has quickly become one of the better war chat sites on the net.

I am proud that we can quickly setup and add forums which meet our users needs.

Yes satellite talk is in short supply at the moment, there not really anything going on to talk about satellite wise at the moment. However look for things to pick up soon in the regard.

A big thank you to everyone, we realize that there are many places on the net you can chat and learn, we are just glad you chose us today. :)

When I said my statement, I was referring to when the war section was added to this site as it was a good addition triggering more to chat about the subject, which is a good thing. I know its because of a war going on, lol.
