I am new to HD. Why is my HD Fox Southwest feed not full time?

This is normal for all the RSNs. The HD feed is only active when an HD sporting event is on.

The good news is that there should be a lot more HD sporting events on the RSNs once the new station is complete in Houston (sometime in the next 12 months).

None of the HD RSN's are full time, Dish lets them share transponders and only turn them on when and actual HD game is being played in order to save bandwidth.

And when they do turn them on, they barely give enough bandwith for any sort of picture quality. The pixelation was enormous last night on FSN SW.
